SWABI: Police said on Thursday that they had traced the killers of a tailor and a woman who were killed in separate incidents during last few days.

Ameen Gul, a tailor, was found killed in his shop in Swabi. He was allegedly killed by his own trainee, Haris Khan, who has been arrested by police. Police said that during investigations Haris confessed to his involvement in the case.

“I thought that after removing Mr Ameen I would get all the money of suits sewed for Eidul Fitr by them,” Haris was quoted as saying during investigation. The accused said that he thought that he would also become owner of the shop after killing his master.

In another case, one Sofaid Khan had allegedly killed mother of his friend in Panjpir village. Police said that the incident occurred about a week ago.

Mr Sofaid was arrested by police and during investigation he said that a few months ago he was expelled from FC and he thought that Inayat Khan, his colleague, was involved in his expulsion.

He said that he knocked the door of Mr Inayat in Panjpir village and when his mother reached the gate he opened fire on her and as result she died on the spot.

MMA TICKETS: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl and Jamaat-i-Islami leaders in separate meetings said here on Thursday that members of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal would amicably settle the issue of award of tickets in the district.

The JUI-F leaders want a major share in the tickets and JI leaders are not ready for that while demanding award of tickets according to the election results of 2002. When the district leaders failed to strike a consensus, they referred the case to the parliamentary committee members who were expected to resolve the issue soon after Eid.

JUI-F leader Maulana Fazal Ali said that those who had major contribution for the cause of alliance should get more tickets.

Attaul Haq, district chief of JUI-F, said that performance of the parties should be kept in mind while awarding tickets. The two leaders said that tickets should be awarded to the candidates who could win the election.
