Website review: Take me back!

Published January 27, 2018

Have you ever wondered what was going on the day you were born? Or when your mum, dad or your grandparents were born; if not this, do you have a particular date in mind that is of the past and you really wish to know what happened on that day?

Worry not, the questions in your mind will be answered at Take Me back to — a site-cum-time machine which will let you enjoy looking back in time.

The interesting thing about the website is that it not just tells you about the day you were born and your star sign, but it will also tell you what was number one on the US and UK charts in those days, who was the president, and some other fun facts about that particular date.

It also lists the famous people who were born on the same day as you and, of course, those who died.

Moreover, the site gives you a glimpse of the books and magazines that were popular back then and the option to buy some of the gifts that were around at the time. You can also explore the newspapers of the US and the UK on that date. Apart from that, the site encourages you to share if you have something worthy or an original contribution on a topic related to a specific date.

If you are one of those kids who want historical details, then the site will disappoint because it gives brief and to the point information about the topic being searched. The site is clutter free, but some of the related ads about birthday, zodiac and stones can be very distracting.
