QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai has stressed the need for timely completion of the under-construction buildings of cadet colleges in Balochistan.

He was presiding over the 13th meeting of the board of governors of cadet colleges of Balochistan here on Friday.

He said that delay in completion of the projects would cause increase in their cost.

The meeting reviewed administrative and financial affairs of the cadet colleges in Mastung, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, Kohlu, Noshki, Panjgur, Jaffarabad and Chaman and took necessary decisions in light of recommendations of the board.

Addressing the principals of the cadet colleges and other officials, he said that delay in completion of the projects would ultimately cause an increase in expenditures.

“The departments concerned should release funds in time allocated for the under construction buildings of cadet colleges and for other projects pertaining to these colleges”, he added.

He directed the Education Department to arrange training of teachers and other staff to improve their professional capacity. He also ordered to make arrangements for tight security of cadet colleges in the province.

The Governor said that libraries should also be established at these colleges with books in order to equip students with modern knowledge.

Provincial Education Minister Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattah, Secretary Education Abdul Sabboor Kakar, Principal Secretary to Governor Balochistan, Abdul Jabbar, Secretary Finance, Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani and other officials were present.
