KARACHI: An antiterrorism court on Saturday dismissed the bail applications of two accused in the Arshad Pappu murder case.

The two accused — then inspector Yusuf Baloch and Zakir Dada —moved their bail applications through their counsel and after hearing arguments from both sides Judge Akhlaq Hussain Larak of the ATC-VII rejected them.

Shahjehan Baloch, a member of the National Assembly belonging to the Pakistan People Party from Lyari, ex-SHO Javed Baloch, Yousuf Baloch, Zubair Baloch, Zakir Dada and Abdul Rehman have been charged with their alleged involvement in the triple murder of Arshad Pappu, the alleged leader of an infamous Lyari gang, his brother Yasir Arafat and their confidant Juma Shera in March 2013.

The head of the banned People’s Amn Committee, Uzair Jan Baloch, Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla, a former SHO Chand Khan Niazi and others have already been declared proclaimed offenders in the case.
