Making fun is not funny

THIS is with reference to the story “Making fun is not funny” by Sadia Maqsood (YW, October 18, 2014). I strongly agree with the writer that humiliating someone can not only ruin our relationships, it negatively affects our personality as well. We should respect everyone and shouldn’t make fun of the shortcomings of others.

THIS is with reference to the story “Making fun is not funny” by Sadia Maqsood. The story was interesting as well as meaningful. The story made me realise that if we insult someone, we actually insult ourselves. The way we treat others actually reflects our character.

What goes around comes around

THIS is with reference to the story “What goes around comes around” by Qurat-ul-ain Aamir (YW, October, 11, 2014). I appreciate the writer for penning down an excellent story. If we implement in our lives what the author has suggested, we can live a happy and peaceful life for sure. If we do good to others, God will take care of our wellbeing and vice versa.

Global Dignity Day

THIS is with reference to the article “Global Dignity Day” by Umamah Shaheen (YW, October, 18, 2014). It’s a sad reality that superiority complex prevails in our society and for centuries the labour class has gone through a lot of physical and emotional trauma due to discrimination towards them by the upper class. We should not only respect our elders but also everyone around us. God has made all of us equal and we should treat everyone respectfully.

THE article on Global Dignity Day by Umamah Shaheen informed us about the importance of respect and dignity and this year this day was also celebrated in our school.

We made very colourful posters and applauded all the junior staff of the school by giving them a token of appreciation.

I think it is very important that from a young age we learn about respecting everyone, especially those who work for us in our homes and schools because I have seen some people talking and behaving very rudely with their maids and drivers. My parents always tell me to talk to them with respect and this is the message I would like to give to all the readers.
