Imran Khan to take oath as MNA on June 19

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will take oath as member of National Assembly on Wednesday, June 19.

In a message on social networking website Twitter on Monday, the cricketer-turned-politician said he would be taking oath in National Assembly on June 19.

“Speaking on the budget the same day,” Khan added.

“My address to the Parliament will lay out PTI's policy on crucial national issues and how the K-P Govt will be a role model of clean, efficient governance,” Khan added.

The PTI chief could not take oath on June 1 along with other members of the National Assembly owing to his ailment.

On May 7, as the election campaign touched its peak, Khan fell off a 15-metre-high forklift during a rally in Lahore, suffering serious injuries to his back.

Later, Khan, whose party has emerged as the second most vote-winning party in the recent polls, spent almost a month at the Shaukat Khannum Memoral Hospital recovering from his injuries.

Khan then arrived in Islamabad on June 13 after doctors at SKMH discharged him from the hospital and cleared him for travelling.

If not all the others are businessmen or landowners turned politician. No one is a politician by birth. Can we try to be original and not use the phrases chosen by BBC.

Good Luck, Imran Khan. Hope you would show us who you really are now that you are in the position to effect things on a national basis. Talks and all the promises were cheap and have no relevance now. You, Sir, will from now on be judged on your actions and results. OR, you will be exposed as just another carpet beggar politician. Please speak clearly on women's rights, terrorism, energy situation, minority rights and protection, financial melt down of Pakistan, it's pariah status in the world of nations, corruption, abject poverty and relations with India and America to name a few vexing problems facing Pakistan. How do you intend to help solve these problems ? And, Please provide some concrete, substance based solutions not just platitudes like "Just Trust me and all problems will be resolved in 90 days or less." Thank You, Mr. Khan.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 89: "Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation feed then indigent persons on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. If that is beyond your means fast for three days. That is the expiation for the oaths ye have sworn. But keep to your oaths. Thus doth Allah make clear to you His Signs so that you may be grateful".

Do you know all 3 establishment wanted nawaz sharif to win the election so the same kind of corrupt govt. Stay in power. Keep fighting for true democracy , don't bent down against corrupt govt. PTI,the floods in Swat is your first test.The world is watching how briskly you react to the peoples sufferings.Not heard anything about NDMA (not even in the budget).I have said to you before that it is no leadership to provide relief after damage is done.You should be prepared in advance to lessen sufferings.
