LAHORE, March 19: Five matches were decided on the opening day of the National Touch-ball Championship at the Punjab Stadium here on Tuesday.

Pakistan Steel were the biggest winners, routing Islamabad 3-0 with braces from Najam Hussain, Abu Bakar, and Aqeel Shah.

Kaleem went one better that the Pakistan Steel trio as he scored thrice, adding to Omar Bhatti’s double in Railways’ 5-1 thrashing of Police.

Sadaqat scored twice as Punjab defeated Azad Jammu and Kashmir 3-0 while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had four different scorers in a 4-0 win over Sindh and Pakistan Motorway defeated Pakistan Steel Mills 3-2.—Sports Reporter
