CHARSADDA, Jan 26: A jirga of elders of 14 villages in Shabqadar tehsil have announced not to be aligned with any political party as they have failed to resolve their problems. The jirga was attended by hundreds of elders of Mian Essa Kali, Mero Kali, Shiekh Kali, Masal Kali, Ghani Gila, and other villages.

Addressing the jirga former nazim of union council Panjpao Akhundzada Mohammad Seyar and others alleged for the last four years neither the federal nor the provincial governments initiated a single developmental project in these villages. The elected representatives have also ignored the people of the localities.

They said the roads and other communication system was in tatters and that almost all the electricity transformers were out of work. They said education and health sectors had also been neglected.

They demanded of the government to take note of their protest otherwise they will come on the streets and stage a sit-in outside the KP assembly. —Correspondent
