IT is indeed a shame that such poor quality of work was done on a metalled road that was constructed from Askari Colony Phase-2 to Sher Shah Road, including the new railway crossing. It was opened for the public in October 2010. After being used for only two months, it started eroding. The worst portion of the road is at the railway crossing which was probably done by the Pakistan Railways, Multan. Stones have been laid at the top, clearly reflecting the dishonesty carried out during construction work. Potholes have appeared near the Sher Shah Road.

The FWO did a fine job in constructing a road from Askari Colony-2 to Sher Shah Road more than five years ago, as it is still in excellent condition but can not be used by residents due to shifting of the railway crossing.

The commissioner of Multan Division and the divisional superintendent, Pakistan Railways, Multan, to take action.

Moreover, motorists coming from Garden Town on Sher Shah Road and turning on Askari-2 Road are facing a hazardous situation every day because cement blocks are kept in the middle of the road.
