ISLAMABAD, Oct 3 Lt-Gen Naeem Khalid Lodhi has been appointed as the new Corps Commander of Bahawalpur. He replaces Lt-Gen Muhammad Yousaf who has been posted as the president of the National Defence University (NDU).

According to sources, the president of the university, Lt-Gen Hamid Khan, will be retiring on October 10. Lt-Gen Hamid Khan is being tipped as the new governor of the NWFP.

Lt-Gen Sardar Mahmood Ali has been posted as director-general of the staff at the Joint Staff Headquarters. He will replace Lt-Gen Raza Mohammad who also is retiring this month.

Lt-Gen Muhammad Alam Khattak has been appointed as chief of the logistics staff at the General Headquarters (GHQ). He will replace Lt-Gen Shafaatullah who is retiring.
