ISLAMABAD, Feb 10: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has introduced certain amendments to the Sixth Schedule to the Companies Ordinance, 1984, to facilitate online submission of documents by companies.

Necessary amendments have been notified in the Sixth Schedule vide a statuary regulatory order (SRO) wherein a fee structure has been prescribed for online submission of documents. The fee for online submission of documents has been prescribed much lower than the existing fee for physical submission.

The purpose of amendments is to facilitate eService users for online registration of companies and e-filing of returns, said an official announcement issued here on Tuesday.

The eServices project was launched in August last year and is now fully operational at the commission.

To provide an on-line enabling environment, all functions of the Company Registration Offices (CROs) of the commission have also been made automated.
