Tribute paid to journalist

SUKKUR, Feb 4: Journalists and local leaders paid rich tributes to senior journalist Shamim Shamsi for his contributions to the profession at a condolence reference organised by the Sukkur Press Club on Sunday. A large number of journalists from Khairpur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kandhkot, Shahdad Kot and Sukkur attended the reference, which was followed by ‘dua’.

Sukkur Press Club general secretary Lala Asad announced in his speech that the club’s main hall would be named ‘Shamim Shamsi Seminar Hall’, and said it was an humble tribute to him for his contributions to the profession.—APP
