TAXILA: A woman allegedly shot her husband dead following a domestic dispute in Taxila during the early hours of Friday, police said.

According to initial police reports, the incident occurred in the couple’s residence after a heated argument.

The victim, identified as 28 years old Syed Jawad Hussain Shah sustained a bullet allegedly fired by his wife from his 12-bore gun.

The police investigators while quoting the family said that after hearing loud noises from the room they rushed to the spot, where they found Jawad critically injured.

He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police reached the scene, secured the area, and shifted the body for legal formalities.

A murder case has been registered, and the accused has been taken into custody for questioning.
