LAKKI MARWAT: The police found the body of a man near Daulat Mir Lawangkhel area in the Lakki Marwat district on Wednesday.
A party of the Ghaznikhel police station found the body lying along a road.
The police said that the body was transported to the District Headquarters Hospital, where the deceased was identified as Jawad, a resident of Paharkhel Pacca area, by a relative, Raza Khan.
The police registered a case against the unknown killer(s) under relevant sections of law and initiated an investigation.
Separately, a young man was shot dead over a petty dispute in the Chuharkhel area in the limits of Shahbazkhel police station.
Police identified the deceased as Farmanullah, a resident of Bahukhel, and said that the attackers fled the scene after the shooting.
Mohammad Uzran, 17, brother of the deceased who remained unhurt in the firing attack, told police that he and his brother were going to Darra Pezu town on a motorcycle to attend a weekly fair when Saifullah and Irfanullah, residents of Chuharkhel, opened fire on them.
He said that Farmanullah received critical bullet injuries and died on the way to a hospital.
The police said that the body was handed over to relatives after completing medico-legal formalities. They launched an investigation into the murder after registering a case under relevant sections of law.
