LAHORE: A speech competition and national songs event was organised on Friday at the Postgraduate College of Nursing (PGCN), Punjab, Lahore.

The event titled ‘Today’s Pakistani Youth is Aware and Responsible’ was presided over by Principal Ms Razia Bano, also attended by faculty members Ms Maimoona Sattar, Ms Farzana Kosar, Ms Samina Kosar, Ms Tahseena and others, along with staff members and nurses.

The nurses delivered passionate speeches appreciated by the audience.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Ms Bano said that nursing students should pursue specialised education to serve humanity with dedication.

She added that both curricular and extracurricular activities are equally encouraged at the college so that students can further improve their professional skills and bring honours to the institution.

The nurses who secured positions in the speech competition included Fakhra Shafiq, Sehrish Jamil, Afsha Kiran, Sadeera, and Saba Hameed.

The principal awarded certificates of appreciation and prizes to the winners.
