LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided that a one-minute silence will be observed in the province at 10am on Tuesday as a gesture of solidarity with the people of the India-occupied Kashmir on Youm-e-Istehsaal, marked annually on Aug 5.

In this connection, the provincial home department has issued instructions to all field formations to ensure observance of a one-minute silence in solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris.

The home department has issued these instructions in line with the federal Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Islamabad.

PA session: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has summoned a session of the Punjab Assembly to show solidarity with the Kashmiris on Youm-i-Istehsal-i-Kashmir on Tuesday (today).

The only item on the agenda of the sitting, 29th session of the house, is moving and adopting a resolution on Youm-i-Istehsal-i-Kashmir.
