PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Thursday appointed Engineer Syed Habibullah Shah as the acting chief executive officer of Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organisation (Pedo), a subsidiary of KP energy and power department.

A notification issued by the energy and power department said that following the transfer of Irfanullah Khan, PAS, BS-19, special secretary of the department, who was also holding additional charge of CEO Pedo and in the interest of the ensuring the continuity in administration and operational affairs of the organisation, the competent authority had been assigned the look after the charge of the of post to the Habibullah Shah, chief engineer development of the entity.

It said that Mr Shah would hold the charge of the office till the appointment of a regular CEO.

A statement issued here said that Mr Shah had served in many important positions in Pedo and has extensive experience in energy sector and had achieved significant successes in completion of the ongoing energy projects in the organisation. After the appointment, he has assumed charge of his post and started working.
