KHUZDAR: Unidentified gunmen on motorcycles killed two tribal elders in Kalat district on Friday, police said.

The victims, both residents of Kalat, were identified as Mir Sajad Ahmed Jattak of the Jattak tribe and Mir Mazar Khan Nachari of the Nachari tribe.

Police said the elders were attacked near the Sheikh Haji area while they were on their way home.

The assailants opened fire on them and fled the scene.

According to a police, the two men suffered multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot.

Authorities transported their bodies to the district hospital in Kalat..

Police said an investigation is underway, but a motive for the killing was not immediately known and no arrests have been made.
