ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of Japan in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Nippon Foundation, has donated a collection of 92 books on Japan to the National University of Technology (Nutech), Islamabad, as part of the Read Japan Project.
According to a press release, the donation aims to foster a deeper understanding of Japan’s rich culture, politics and economy. Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Akamatsu Shuichi, on behalf of the Nippon Foundation, presented the books to Nutech Rector retired Lt Gen Moazzam Ejaz at a ceremony held on Friday at the university.
The press release said the 92 carefully selected books in English cover a wide range of topics related to Japan, including history, politics, economy, security, philosophy, literature, art and culture.
Speaking on the occasion, the ambassador congratulated the students and faculty on receiving this valuable gift and expressed hope that the collection would provide fascinating insights into Japan. He described the books as windows into Japan’s rich history, vibrant culture, advanced technology, and unique values.
