BAJAUR: Three people were rescued here on Sunday after they fell overboard while riding a motorboat in Raghagan dam reservoir.

According to the Rescue 1222, the incident occurred due to high speed.

Rescue 1122 in a statement said that soon after the incident, the a team of rescuers deployed at the dam, immediately rushed to the spot and rescued all the three victims identified as Sajid Khan, Bilal Khan Hilal Khan.

The statement added that as per the district administration’s instructions, a team of rescuers, divers and medical workers would remain deployed at Raghagan dam throughout the Eid days to ensure quick response to any potential emergency there.

The statement further noted that in addition to responding to the emergency, Rescue 1122 workers were also monitoring boats to ensure safety of the visitors riding the boats in Raghagan dam, a key tourist spot in the district.

Also, three people were wounded when a mini-truck overturned in a mountainous area of Barang tehsil.

According to the Rescue 1122, the wounded identified as Saz Mohammad Khan, Niaz Khan and Nasir Khan were shifted to the district headquarters hospital Khar for treatment.
