Candidates should:

• be able to transcribe or translate given material within tight deadlines

Senior Position: Editor, Quality Control

Eligibility:

Experienced editors or journalists with a minimum of three years’ professional experience in English-language media, PR, communications, content writing, or a related field.

Educational requirement:

Undergraduate or master’s degree holders (any discipline).

Location: This role is Karachi-based.

Mid-Level Position: Content Editor/Desk Editor

Individuals who have recently started a career in journalism, communications, advertising or content writing; fresh university graduates with excellent writing skills, a curious mind and a penchant for asking questions.

Location: The role is primarily based on-site at Dawn’s Karachi office, but candidates from Lahore and Rawalpindi/Islamabad are also encouraged to apply.

Educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Specialised Role: Content Editor/Desk Editor (Business)

This position is similar to the general Content Editor/Desk Editor role but focuses specifically on business content. Candidates with an interest in finance, economics, or business reporting are ideal for this role.
