MULTAN, April 3: Four people were killed while several others injured when a wagon rammed into a tractor-trolley in Jalalpur Pirwala on Monday. Police said people aboard the wagon were returning to Jalalpur after watching the last show of a circus at the Mela Mir Qattal. The vehicle hit the tractor-trolley, which was parked partially on the road, near Jalalpur city while crossing a truck coming from the opposite side.

As a result of which, Muhammad Shakeel, Imtiaz, Javed and M Ashraf died on the spot while a number of other passengers sustained injuries. The injured were taken to the Jalalpur tehsil headquarters hospital. Of them, the seriously injured were later on shifted to Nishter Hospital in Multan.

They were identified as Iqbal, Zulfiqar, Fayyaz, Yousan and Iqbal Husain. Police have registered a case after impounding the tractor-trolley.
