LAHORE: The Punjab home department has delegated powers to the deputy commissioners with regard to the arms licences under Punjab Arms Rules 2023.

According to a notification issued on Wednesday, the home department has delegated full powers to the DCs concerned to issue transfer of individual arms licence on inheritance basis; change of weapon in same category/ bore change/ cartridges or bullets increase; and duplicate arms licence.

The department has, so far, not been able to delegate powers to issue new licences to the applicants, who had applied on a specially developed App.
