TOBA TEK SINGH: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Zartaj Gul appeared on Friday before Anti-Terrorism Court Faisalabad judge Raja Shahid Zameer in four cases registered against her regarding her involvement in the riots that occurred on May 9 in Faisalabad following the arrest of PTI founder Imran Khan.

The court approved her pre-arrest bail in all four cases against separate bail bonds of Rs100,000 each.

Speaking to reporters, she said the only way to pull the country out of the prevailing political crisis is for the government to apologise to Imran Khan and release him immediately. She said the PTI was a reality and opponents should accept it as early as possible, claiming the popularity of PTI is increasing day by day.

ELECTROCUTED: A boy was electrocuted on Friday on Irfan Khan Daha Road in Khanewal. Reports said Muhammad Hamza, 15, was going home after finishing his duty at a shop.

While passing through rain-accumulated water, he suddenly caught a wire of an electric pole, received an electric shock and died instantly.

KILLED: A man stabbed his friend to death in Gojra on Friday.

According to Gojra City police, both Adnan of Dastgir Colony and suspect Usman of the same locality exchanged harsh words over some issue. Usman attacked Adnan with a chopper, critically injuring him.

Doctors at Gojra THQ Hospital referred Adnan to Allied Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police have arrested Usman.

BLASPHEMY: A man was booked on a blasphemy charge under Section 298 A of the PPC on Friday by Arrouti, Pirmahal police.

According to the FIR registered on the complaint of Investigation Officer Sub-Inspector Dildar Hussain, the suspect posted insulting text on his Facebook page.

Police arrested the suspect.

ROBBERY: Robbers looted the house of a trader in Mianchannu, Khanewal, on Friday, taking away gold ornaments worth more than Rs7 million and Rs265,000.

Reports said five outlaws forced their way into the house of Haji Muhammad Siddiq, held all family members at gunpoint and took away gold ornaments, cash, and other valuables.
