ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Abdu­llah Nawaz beat India’s Yusha Nafees to seal a spot in the U-17 semi-finals in the Asian Junior Individual Squash Cham­p­ionship at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Thursday.

The tournament is featuring nearly 200 male and female participants in various age-group categories including U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19.

In the quarter final, Abdullah outclassed Nafees 11-1, 11-7, 11-2. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Azaan Ali outclassed compatriot Yahya Asad 11-7, 11-7, 11-4 to book the other last-four berth.

In U-19 event, Pakistan’s Hamza Khan outclassed compatriot Anas Ali Shah to book a place in the last-four, registering scores of 11-8, 11-8, 11-4.
