MUZAFFARGARH: An accident occurred on Saturday evening near Chowk Sarwar Shaheed in Kot Addu district, in which 11 people died and 15 others were seriously injured.

According to sources, a passenger van collided with a truck, causing the van’s body to crush.

The local people and Rescue 1122 officials shifted the bodies and injured people to the tehsil headquarters hospital.

The rescue officials said that among the dead were five men, three women, two children, and one girl.

The people in the passenger van belonged to Laar Basti, Multan, and were all from the same family. The family was traveling to district Bhakkar to visit their relatives when the accident occurred.

Kot Addu DC Munawwar Abbas Bukhari declared an emergency in the hospital and ordered the THQ hospital administration to provide the best treatment to the injured passengers.
