KARACHI: Mr Abu Hisham, leader of a three-member Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) delegation currently visiting Pakistan, said in Karachi yesterday [March 6] that the Pakistan Government had agreed to the opening of a PLO office in Islamabad. Addressing a Press conference, he said this was one of the “many fruitful results” reached during negotiations between the PLO delegation and representatives of the Pakistan Government, headed by Mr Agha Shahi, Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. … On behalf of the Palestinian people, he thanked the Pakistan Government and people for the reception accorded to Mr Yasir Arafat, leader of the PLO. — News agencies
[Meanwhile, as reported by our Staff correspondent from Quetta,] Baluchistan Governor Mir Ahmad Yar Khan has hoped some “good news” will be available to the people during the first week of April on the affairs of Baluchistan. Something concrete, he added, would emerge to bring about a solution of the Baluchistan problem to everybody’s satisfaction.
