SARGODHA: The district and sessions judge and additional sessions judges have issued arrest warrants for 81 police officers accused of violating orders and delaying court decisions.

They include 17 sub-inspectors (SIs), 21 ASIs, 9 head-constables and 34 constables posted in different police stations.

RE-POLLING: Following irregularities in the initial vote, re-polls will be held on Thursday (today) at 26 polling stations of NA-88, Khushab-2.

To ensure a smooth and fair process, the returning officer has established a camp office in Noorpur, while security arrangements have been beefed up with CCTV cameras installed at sensitive locations.

A public holiday has also been declared in the constituency to encourage voter turnout.

HELD: The police arrested an alleged car thief and recovered two stolen vehicles worth over Rs4.2 million from him.

The vehicles were stolen but recovered during an operation by the Satellite Town police team.

Suspect Qamar Abbas is being interrogated to uncover any potential accomplices.
