SUKKUR: The Kand-hkot-Kashmore police on Thursday claimed to have arrested one of the dreaded dacoits, Khadim Bhayo, in an encounter which took place in the riverine area of Durrani Mahar in Kandhkot.
Sindh government had notified a head money of Rs3 million for Khadim Bhayo.
According to Kashmore SSP Mir Rohail Khan Khoso, Bhayo, the ringleader of his dreaded gang, was among three dacoits wounded in an operation carried out by a joint force of police and Rangers.
The police officer said that the gang managed to take away the other two wounded associates while retreating during the fierce gun battle. He identified one of them as Meer Jagirani.
A few days back, the Shikarpur SSP had claimed that Dadoo Shaikh alias Wadan, a dreaded dacoit carrying a head money of Rs3 million surrendered himself before police.
He said that Dadoo Shaikh and his gang had been operating in upper Sindh areas for the last 30 years and the ringleader had been nominated in no fewer than 40 cases of heinous crimes, including murders, attempted murder, dacoity, robbery and kidnapping for ransom.
