QUETTA: The President of Balochistan Civil Service Officers Association, Dr Khuda-i-Rahim Mirwani, has rejected appointments and postings of Secretariat officers in the field and termed the outgoing Balochistan chief minister’s decision in this regard a violation of the existing law and several verdicts of the Supreme Court on this issue.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Dr Mirwani said that under the new procedure, the appointments and postings of Secretariat officers in districts will create an administrative crisis in the province as under the law Secretariat officers could not be appointed or posted on administrative posts.

They said that the outgoing provincial government’s approval of appointments or postings of the Secretariat officers in districts was against Civil Service rules and regulations of the province.
