HYDERABAD: Two cargo bogies derailed near Daur railway station in Nawabshah district on Thursday evening, causing suspension of rail traffic on up and down country tracks.
The bogies were transporting ballast for routine maintenance work in the vicinity of the railways station when two of them derailed. According to Pakistan Railways’ divisional commercial officer, Mohsin Siyal, one of the bogie was empty and the other was laden with ballast.
The incident occurred at around 4.30pm and by 8pm traffic on both tracks remained suspended. A relief train was sent to the place of accident to clear the two tracks.
