KOHAT: The Hangu police arrested on Thursday a high-profile terrorist wanted to the counter-terrorism department Kohat since year 2000 and carrying a head money of two million rupees. The terrorist was involved in drug smuggling to fund the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference at the Hangu Press Club, the district police officer, Asif Bahadar told journalists that Saadullah had been declared proclaimed offender in 2000 by the counter-terrorism department but was hiding from police since then.

He belonged to Mohallah Alikhel of Kurram district and had a house in Orakzai district in the Dabori area where he was living with his family. He used to travel to Hangu, Peshawar, and Kohat to collect funds for TTP operations.

Saadullah was nabbed on intelligence reports while crossing the border of Naryab to enter Hangu, the DPO said.

Answering a query, the DPO said that Saadullah had already been nominated in several FIRs. The DPO added that he would be handed over to the CTD, which would thoroughly interrogate and investigate him.

He recalled that last month they had arrested an Isis member from Doaba, who moved to some unknown location by the CTD.
