LOWER DIR: Two persons were killed and nine injured when a pick-up van fell into a ravine here on Friday.

The accident occurred on the Maidan-Karbori Road, and the van was going to Kumbar area.

A Rescue1122 team along with two ambulances reached the spot and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital after providing them first aid.

The dead were identified as Sikandar, 35, and Meem Roz Khan, 50.

Three of the injured were referred to the District Headquarters Hospital, Tamergara, in critical condition.

The dead and the injured belonged to the same family of Maidan Karbori village.

The Lal Qila police registered a case and started further investigation.

Separately, a man was shot dead in Kitiari area of Ouch. The victim was identified as Ibrar Khan.
