LAHORE: Asad Ali Khokhar, whose oath-taking ceremony was delayed for a few days because of murder of his brother in a marriage ceremony last week, was sworn in on Tuesday at the Governor House and was later notified as provincial minister.

“The Governor of Punjab, in exercise of his power conferred upon him under the Clause (1) of Article 132 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on the advice of chief minister, is pleased to appoint Malik Asad Ali (PP-168), member of the provincial assembly of the Punjab, as minister,” reads the notification.

Earlier, Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar administered oath to him. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar attended the ceremony at Governor House on Tuesday. The CM hoped that Asad Khokhar will diligently work according to the party policy to serve the masses.
