TOBA TEK SINGH: The Faisalabad Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is interrogating Kamalia National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) Assistant Director Ashfaq Mahmood.

He was taken into custody 10 days ago.

A Nadra source said Ashfaq allegedly cancelled the national identity card of a woman who died some time ago. The woman had two CNICs, one with married status and the other as unmarried. She owned property worth millions.

The Nadra official was taken into custody on the complaint of the widower.

COVID: Of 1,290 new Covid-19 cases detected on Friday in Punjab, Toba Tek Singh remained the second top district in Faisalabad division with most virus cases.

There were 81 cases in Faisalabad while in Toba Tek Singh 19 cases were reported in a day.
