ISLAMABAD: With spring season approaching, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will plant 10,000 saplings of 50 rose varieties in the Rose and Jasmine Garden.

It may be pointed out that not a single sapling of the flower has been planted in the garden since 2009.

Besides, the civic agency has also started planting saplings of fruits and other flowers across the city.

According to a statement, a number of projects have been initiated for the beautification of different roads, including Constitution Avenue and Seventh Avenue. Moreover, stands of artificial flowers will also be placed at various locations.

In October 2020, CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed had said Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed him to restore the city’s natural beauty.
