ISLAMABAD: Mayor Pir Adil Shah Gillani of PML-N on Monday took oath of his office.
District and Sessions Judge Rakhshanda Shaheen administered the oath who was recently elected after defeating PTI’s Malik Sajid Mahmood.
PML-N’s former federal minister Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, former MNA Anjum Aqeel and all three deputy mayors also attended the ceremony.
After the oath, the mayor said he would play his role in making Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad a vibrant organisation.
