LAHORE: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said this ‘inept’ government’s days are numbered as it cannot function any more.

“Imran Khan is requesting the PDM (Pakistan Democratic Movement) and PML-N to give him NRO. This man has been saying for the last two-and-a-half months that he would not give NRO to any one and now he is seeking for himself from Nawaz Sharif,” she said while addressing a corner meeting of the PML-N here on Thursday.

She held a series of corner meetings in the city to mobilise the workers for the Dec 13 PDM show at Minar-i-Pakistan. A good number of workers turned up at different places and greeted her.

Ms Nawaz said there would be no talks with the government. She said whether the government gave permission for the Minar-i-Pakistan rally or not it would be held at any cost.

On the other hand, the Buzdar government has made a strategy to stop the participation of PML-N workers and supporters from other parts of the country. The government will reportedly go for the policy which it had adopted during the Multan rally of the PDM last month,” a source said.

In Multan, the government had given permission to the PDM hours before its power show. The PDM could not hold the public meeting at the Multan Stadium.

The PDM has plans to hold its Dec 13 rally outside the Minar-i-Pakistan if the government did not allow it.
