FAISALABAD: D Type Colony police on Saturday registered a case and arrested two suspects on charges of kidnapping and killing a seven-year-old girl.

Submitting an application to the D Type Colony police, father of the girl said she had left her house to purchase milk from a nearby shop of Mohammad Saleem of Warispura. Saleem did not return the remaining amount worth Rs10 and asked the girl to get the money later on.

He said his daughter had gone to his shop to get the money back but did not return home.

He claimed that some locals had seen his daughter with Saleem who took her to a factory and later her body was recovered.

He alleged that Saleem and Zahid Khan of Haripur, who is now living in Warispura, had kidnapped her.

Police said the suspects had been taken into custody. Further investigation is under way.
