KARACHI: In what can be termed as a landmark achievement in the metropolis, a state-of-the-art driving range of Acacia Country & Golf Club was inaugurated here the other day by Major General Shahzad Naeem Khan, HI (M), General Officer Commanding, 25 Mechanised Division, along with chairman World Group Mahmood Trunkwala in an impressive ceremony.

The entire project, situated in the exceptional location at Malir Cantt adjacent to Jinnah International Airport on the Main Jinnah Avenue, includes many international standard leisure activities, including an 18-hole PGA standard golf course, lakeside restaurants, lounges, banquet halls, gymnasium, children play area etc.

Besides, the project also includes a 5-star resort, chalets, mega shopping mall, serviced apartments, and water and theme park.

The inauguration of the golf club was attended by dignitaries including board members of the World Group, members of business community, officers of Armed Forces, media personnel and other distinguished guests.

Characterising the importance of the golf course, Major General Shahzad mentioned that the Club will be one of the finest venues for events in the area and will provide easily accessible sports and recreational facilities.
