LAHORE: Karvan festival

LAHORE, Dec 6: Governor Khalid Maqbool will host the assembly of schoolchildren participating in Karavan Mera Virsa Heritage Festival from all over the country to celebrate the world heritage site of the Lahore Fort here on Jan 25.

The event is being held in collaboration with the culture ministry and the Unesco, says a Press release issued here on Saturday.

Karavan events have been held in Karachi since 2001 to celebrate the cultural heritage of the city which included the famous Karavan Karachi HeritageStreetfests 2001, the Karavan Karnival Parade at the mausoleum of the Quaid-i-Azam and a Karavan SeaKarnival Parade held in January 2003.— Staff Reporter
