SWABI: A woman was killed and four persons were injured in a road accident here on Saturday, police said.

An auto-rickshaw going to district headquarters from Topi city collided with a truck near Baja bypass. The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Topi police station.

Local people and police shifted the dead woman and the injured to the Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor, where doctors said that two of the injured were in precarious condition.

The deceased was identified as wife of Shahid Rehman of Mansoori village. A daughter of the deceased was among the injured.

The drivers escaped the area after the incident. The police registered case and began investigations.
