PESHAWAR: The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Peshawar, organised a discussion with Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Sadik Babur Girgin to promote academic collaboration and socio-cultural and economic ties between the two countries.
Dr Mohammad Mohsin Khan, director IMSciences, welcomed the guests and moderated the discussion. He briefed the participants about the history and evolution of IMSciences as one of the top business schools of the country since its inception in 1995.
He shared his views on student exchange programmes, promotion of Turkish language through the establishment of language centre at the institute and establishing joint business incubation centres in the Turkish and Pakistani universities, according to a statement issued here on Saturday.
The ambassador highlighted the importance of Turkey’s relationship with Pakistan as deeply rooted and based on mutual trust and co-existence. He also highlighted some of the vital projects being carried out by the Turkish embassy in Pakistan to strengthen the mutual relationship.
Mr Girgin also mentioned the salient features of these projects for achieving economic growth and development both for Pakistan and Turkey. He emphasised the promotion of socio-cultural and economic relations between Pakistan and Turkey. The ambassador laid stress on academic collaboration between different Turkish universities and the IMSciences in achieving maximum output.
