Singer Alicia Keys has become a mother for the second time as she welcomed a baby boy with husband Swizz Beats. The couple has named the baby Genesis Ali Dean.

According to People, Genesis, which is a word of Greek origin meaning 'beginning' or 'birth', was born early morning on December 27.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2010, also have a 4-year-old son called Egypt Daoud.

The 'Karma' singer previously revealed Egypt was "super excited" about the idea of having a sibling.

She shared: "I think he's super excited because he's not going to be the youngest anymore."

Rapper and music producer Swizz, who also has three other children, Prince Nasir, 14, Kasseem Jr., seven, and Nicole, six, from previous relationships, recently said: "I am very excited about having another child."
