SIALKOT: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Saturday night claimed that the May 11 general elections last year were the biggest fraud in the country’s history, DawnNews reported.
Speaking to a rally organised here to protest against alleged rigging in last year’s polls, he said the people were looking at the judiciary to get justice, adding that they would be justified to go out on the streets if they were deprived of this fundamental right.
Pointing towards alleged rigging in several constituencies and typing mistakes by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Khan demanded of ‘the free judges of the country’ to deliver justice. He also pointed out sacrifices given by the PTI for the free judiciary.
Assailing the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for being hesitant in investigating the alleged rigging, the PTI chief said the government was scared about its future.
He reiterated that the vote went to some while the seats went to another.
The cricketer-turned-politician alleged that the DPO Hafizabad ran the election campaign for the PML-N. The rally administration played an audio recording as a proof.
Imran Khan also criticised the budget presented earlier this month by the government, saying those who looted public money will prosper while the poor will get poorer due to this budget.
“System of oppression cannot go any further … we will go to courts and come out on the streets as well,” he added.
Reacting to Khan’s speech, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said those who have failed to run a province are talking about running the whole country.
“Rigging rhetoric has become Imran’s favourite pastime,” he said.

I am not a fan of PTI, but IK is right on the money when he demands fair and clean elections so that the people must have the ability to elect their representatives and then hold them accountable. Such is their basic right which has always been violated by the establishment.

To me there is a simple solution to this. Verify the votes in the 4 halqas. If pmln still winners from there Imran will have to shut up. If pmln claim they didn't rig they should jump to do this. The fact they haven't so far only shows that they have something to hide.
And to all my pmln friends. While you are typing that KP govt has failed, maybe you can address my point above as well?

I liked personally IK but I want to see his "CHANGES" in KPK unfortunately I have not seen any yet though he promised of 90 days. Health Emergency is just on paper, children were dieing due to be expired medicine in KPK. Security we know its still very bad through IK believe he has turned Peshawar into London. Education has plunged 2% lower. The PML-N has brought lots of projects for Punjab if we compare to KPK I dont see any match between SS and Khatak Sahib.

I don't understand why IK is demanding only 4 constituencies where he lost. He knows that in Election magnetic ink was not used and therefore its not possible to identify 100% and error could occur more often. Even if Govt accept his proposal who would accept the result? IK already doubts EC and PMLN can blame to lack of technology. Its just to fool the people of Pakistan what i see is IK can't wait till 2018 he fears he might would lose charm till 2018 in youth. He knows even 1 project in punjab by PMLN gets successful then he would not get majority in punjab in 2018 which is vital to make government in center.

PMLN time gain tactics will not work. They are now changing the voting bags at the questioned Seats. IK needs to turn the heat up. If their is no realisation of justice than PMLN is digging their own grave.

Even if you an opponent of IK, you can't negate that what he is saying is a truth and that in going forward there should be a foolproof election system agreed between all parties.

May be 2013 elections were rigged. Nothing unusual with a nation which has long last its moral compass. However, if Imran had won the election it would have been the biggest farce for the Pakistani nation. IK who was representing himself and his party as modern and forward-looking would have taken the country into the middle ages in association with the Talibans and the other religious parties of Pakistan. Thanks God Imran's PTI did not get into power!

@salman but salman according to PML-N here is no point in verification. Nawaz Sharif has a good grip on Pakistan's problem and now fixing it one by one... His crisis management skills are also excellent so far as ever since he has been a PM there are no crisis surfaced. According to PML-N Elections were not fair but they accepted in the largest interest of the country... PML just cannot understand what IK wants? Why can't IK live in some state guest house and enjoy life? Its time IK learn politics from PML-N

I find most of the critics of IK out of logic, if ECP itself accepts somewhere they where not able to hold fare elections(Karachi) and somewhere it was typing error and so on, then there remains no reason to suspect the electoral process. If there was nothing to hide, recounting for four seats wouldn't have taken that much time. It may take PTI years to convince ECP to do recounting/or it mayn't happen at all but I believe their struggle will definitely reform the electoral process.

If this election was fraud then PTI was main gainer in this election, why not PTI resign from KPK and from National Assembly to reject the election.... over the year they have been getting all the privileges and million of rupees for their salaries and other perks.... so by crying that election is not fair is meaning less... everybody knows agencies feeding Imran khan for creating justification of toppling democracy ... childish attitude of IK will ruin his own party in long run.....
