ANP losing clout in NA-12, Swabi

Published February 4, 2008

SWABI, Feb 3 Despite the fact that Awami National Party (ANP) workers have been running a full-fledged campaign for the party`s chief, Asfandyar Wali Khan, in NA-12, Swabi-I, his absence from the constituency for more than one month now is likely to affect the poll result in favour of his rivals, political workers said. According to them, Asfandyar`s absence from the constituency during the peak days of the election campaign was exploited by his archrivals, which might prove costly for the ANP chief.—Correspondent
