LAHORE: Experts of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) on Wednesday apprised Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah of the Lahore High Court about the measures to be taken to make website of the court more immune to hacking.

In a meeting held in the wake of the Lahore High Court website hacking incident the other day, the experts told the judge that network of the court was based on windows operating system and now efforts were being made to convert it on Linux platform, the better and secured operating system which carried less virus and hacking attacks.

They said the Linux system had a number of security features and provided better security measures for the networks as compared to the earlier set-up.

The experts said they were working to improve the LHC website and assured the judge to submit a final report in this regard by Oct 18.
