MIRAMSHAH/PESHAWAR: A Tajik militant was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Miramshah bazaar of North Waziristan Agency in the wee hours on Tuesday.

Sources said that a local militant was injured in the incident, who was taken to hospital in critical condition.

They said that the attackers escaped the area. The sources claimed that several militants had been killed in fighting between rival militant factions in the agency.

Meanwhile, a man was shot dead by his rivals, also in the Miramshah bazaar. Local residents said that motive behind the incident was stated to be an old enmity.

On the other hand, a medical store was blown up by unknown persons in the cattle market in Miramshah on Tuesday. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

And in Peshawar, the building of a private school was partially damaged in a blast on Tuesday morning.

Principal of the Peshawar Modal School, Dalazak Road, Ms Noor Afsha, told police that someone hurled an improvised explosive device at the school early in the morning which exploded with a bang.

An official of Pahari Pura police station told Dawn that windowpanes and doors of the school were damaged in the blast. He said that the IED weighed around three kilograms. Police registered case and began investigation.
