SUKKUR, July 21 A fresh autopsy of Tasleem Solangi's body has found five slugs of a cartridge pierced in her body, but there are no marks of dog bite.

The July-8 autopsy report also reveals that no post-mortem was conducted earlier.

Tasleem Solangi, resident of village Pir Hajna Shah near Pir Jo Goth, was killed some 14 months ago over the pretext of karo-kari.

The July-8 autopsy was conducted following a suo motu notice by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. An inquiry team was formed and autopsy conducted.

Victim's father Gulsher Solangi and mother Zakira Solangi had alleged after the murder that before killing, dogs had been unleashed at Tasleem Solangi.

After the allegation, three separate inquiries had been held on the orders of President Asif Ali Zardari, IG police Sindh and Home Department Sindh.

But the Supreme Court had rejected all three reports and ordered the Sindh IG police to conduct fresh inquiry and submit report. The IG constituted an inquiry committee that recorded the statements of the police officials concerned and others, while a medical board of Nawabshah exhumed the body of Tasleem Solangi and conducted the autopsy.

Police have so far arrested 16 accused for their direct or indirect involvement in Tasleem's murder.

Those arrested are the Jacobabad DSP, investigation officer Ahmedpur Shah Zaman Dahar, police head constable Gulbahar Panhyar, Nazim union council Wada Machchion Saleemullah Solangi, Ghulam Mustafa Solangi, Ellahi Bux Solangi, Shakeel Solangi, Abdul Samee Solangi, Haji Solangi, Tasleem's husband Ibrahim Solangi, her uncles Rehmatullah and Karim Bux, Abdul Qayoom Kanhar, Tasleem's father Gulsher Solangi, Haji Khan Kanhar, Badshah Zadi Shaikh and others. Three accused Zameer, Pervaiz and Mumtaz are absconding.
