PBF to hold camp for Asia Cup

KARACHI, July 28 The Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) is planning to hold a fortnight-long training camp for Pakistan teams in preparations for the inaugural Asia Cup bridge championship.

“We are working on the dates of the camp,” PBF President Tariq Rasheed Khan said on Wednesday.

He added that the camp will be held at the Aslam Bridge Hall.

Pakistan Open and ladies team will be taking part in the championship in Ningbo, China, from Aug 30 to Sept 5.

Data Steel, with Rashid-ul-Ghazi, Javed Khalid, Tahir Masood, Saeed Akhtar, Javed Miran and Tehsin Gheewala in their fold, earned the right to represent Pakistan after winning the National bridge championship in Lahore.

Pakistan ladies team includes Farida Ahmed, Shamim Mahmood, Akhtar Haq, Azra Raja, Zeenat Azwer and Dinaz Dubash.

Tariq Rasheed Khan will be chef de mission and non playing captain.—APP
